My name is Marcus VonRuden and I will be releasing music under the name "Magpie Serenade". 

    It's a common point to make that there is already enough music in the world, suggesting that creating new music would only continue to saturate an already saturated market. The key word here is "market". Treat music like a commodity and it will be consumed as such. As an art however, music is a timeless and natural human experience. 

    I write my music with the intention to inspire positive change and recognize individual overcoming. I choose music as my medium for this venture because of where my talents lie, what is currently available to me, and my unwavering passion for songwriting and performance.
